Bet the would at your pub.
BTW, seems like you having a pop. Don't you care about my thoughts?

Re: According to "sky sources"
Plenty, like I agree with what FCJ has posted there.

Of course I can't stand the idiots and treat them with the contempt they deserve, like you posting tonight that BFS would have had us this season as top relegation contenders.

Laughable nonsense based on nothing but blind hatred and stupidity.

If you said that in a pub around West Ham people would be laughing in your face.

That's spot on, we're found some excellent deals over the last few summers and long may it continue.

Byram in January on the little we've seen in his stop start career to date looks a real bargain, his debut was simply stunning.

But with the money available and so little being really needed with the DM position filled with a "free" although I'm sure he's not that cheap we can really go out and add a couple of "star" players to push us on that little bit more.

Re: According to "sky sources"
It doesn't matter how much money you have, it just matters that you get the right player.
It's shown over the last few seasons in the deals we've done for the likes of Cresswell, Kouyate, Sakho, Payet and hopefully soon Lanzini that you can get decent players without blowing big sums of cash like Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and even Spurs have done.

Even the deals for Ogbonna, Obiang, and Antonio are looking decent.
That said if someone like Lewandowski was to even be a possibility then I'd spent big.

Re: According to "sky sources"
When you say "news" you mean tabloid gossip? Of course the chairman has already said the main target is another quality striker.

Maybe unlike you I don't need to have a pop at people all the time and sometimes simply enjoy posting my thoughts on West Ham even if they are the obvious.

Hahaha, very clever interpretation of the latest news linking us to several strikers and a quality winger.

There won't be many bigger fish than West Ham United Football Club next season.

Re: According to "sky sources"
In Henry we trust but only if he's working for the manager.

There's club facing complete meltdown as they are about to drop from this league where they have had a "Henry" operating to their own devices and not for or with the manager and now THREE of those clubs look totally fucked and at least two of them are going to fall out of the league.

We've seen other sides give the power back to the manager. Tottenham under the Argie after they wasted a shed load of doh, lately Liverpool have also gone down that route.

Our transfer have improved season on season, I would expect that to anyway as we become more established after relegation but last summer really changed the whole ethos and long may that continue.

Wouldn't be to much overhauling of the squad for me.

Joey O'Brien is out of contract and owes us nothing and can move on, a newly promoted side or a Championship side where he can play for if he can stay fit I think will be for him.

Moses and so far Emenike haven't shown enough to consider turning the loan into a perm deal.

Song is a tough one, I think it's clear Nordveit is coming onboard but with European football Song at the right deal, with a proper pre-season under his belt could be well worth a free.

The only player I would consider selling would be maybe Valencia, I like him and he did ok when he got his chance as a striker but if we could get decent money for him and bring in a younger striker to take his place in the squad plus adding on the big money striker then that could shape nicely.

We need another wide player to replace Moses, Samuelsen will deserve a chance at nailing down a squad place in the summer, as will Burke and Cullen, you could so maybe put Dobson in there as well.

In defence we're more than covered in the centre. Cresswell and Byram I think would take some shifting but then we don't need to go an spend bring in those positions. I think we need another right back, I sure a youngish one is on the list.

At left back Hendrie had a slow start, partly because of injury but seems to have slowly worked his way back into the picture and Page looks a talent as well so maybe we would be ok there.

So for me the plan would be to go all out on a striker or two and a real quality winger.

Re: According to "sky sources"
Lukaku for £40m maybe as he has done it in the Premier League before but bigger fish will be in for him and probably go for £50m+ and what wages would he want, can't see it though, can't spend most of your budget on one player and what if he ended up like Carroll injured don't want to put all our eggs in one basket and definitely will want Champs league. Can't see us spending over £20m on any player won't get much for that though with all the other clubs splashing the cash.

I'm not quite so confident croe, although we are absolutely tight as a squad and the best camaraderie for years, everyone has their price.
Our boys are prime fodder in the shop window, a lot of clubs will be sniffing around waving euros under their noses.

Hope I'm wrong though mate.

Re: According to "sky sources"
We're going to be linked with dozens and dozens of players we're not actually interested in as agents try and stir up the market and I'm sure Bilic & Henry already have their list of targets and I'm confident they will land players they want.

I think for the first time ever I'm also not worried about losing players. Our squad seems to all be happy, they seem to have all brought into Bilic and the club and see this as a team that's really starting to go places and have an impact.

It's an exciting time, enjoyable time for everyone connected to the club and although I feel some of the so called big clubs have a total rebuilding program to do, new managers coming in, I honestly don't think it's going to go back to the closed shop it was before.
